About Dominik Langer
Dominik Langer has run management systems from the inside. He led the implementation of an information security management system based on ISO/IEC 27001 and an environmental management system based on ISO 14001, and integrated both with the quality management system already in place. Both were certified. He has represented management systems at executive board level. Functions such as CISO, head of quality management, head of environmental management and data protection officer have reported to him, and he has held them directly.
Advisory
He advises where business and technology meet
He has worked in consulting since 2012, often bridging business and technology. His industry experience is mainly in insurance and extends across several other sectors, and his project experience runs from strategy through implementation to operations. His focus areas include third-party risk management and the governance of new technology as it enters an organisation.
At Halderstone he leads the Advisory practice and supports clients in advancing their management systems.
Audit
Assurance earns trust and drives improvement
He is a certified lead auditor for ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001. He designed, implemented and led internal audit programmes, and orchestrated third-party audits to achieve and maintain management system certification.
He is convinced that effective assurance is not only the basis of customer trust but also a catalyst for continual improvement. At Halderstone he supports clients in improving their own internal audit practice, and leads assurance mandates.
Teaching
Concepts hold when they meet real work
With an early passion for teaching, he is experienced in designing and building training formats, from focused courses to organisation-wide academy systems spanning several roles and topics.
In his teaching he bridges conceptual grounding and practical application rooted in real organisational challenges. He is the architect behind Halderstone Academy’s modular design and its outcome-based training methodology.

In his work as a consultant, manager, auditor and trainer, he encountered a need for training on management systems that creates not only knowledge, but deep understanding and judgement under the messy conditions and trade-offs typical of real organisations.
